Make a Difference

The B&EW FOUNDATION was established in 2007 by Blair and Ellen Williams, of the USA, to provide financial aid to young, intelligent, and deserving Anglo-Indians. Assistance is available to any Anglo-Indian who wishes to pursue, or is already pursuing, higher or professional education.
Why the Foundation was Created
Currently Blair and Ellen administer CTR, a not-for-profit public charity, created in 1998 to help indigent Anglo-Indians in India. USA public charity rules limit the amount of money that can be donated to a public charity. In order to give more, individuals have to set up private foundations. That is why the B&EW foundation was formed. The foundation will be privately funded and is expected to support about 10 students annually.
How it works
US Internal Revenue Service registration requires that trustees develop a selection process and a set of criteria for choosing students. This is attached as an application form. This must be submitted along with the attachments that may be scanned or may be sent by mail. Click on the download tab on the applications page to get the form.
Selected candidates will be informed as to the support they can expect. Until they are so informed, applicants should not presume that they will be given financial assistance.
